Meet our PodGuide, Kevin!

Kevin Peterson is a Tacoma native with over ten years' teaching experience and a lifetime of commitment to church service and a life of faith. A pastor's kid, Kevin grew up attending United Church of Christ (UCC) and Lutheran (ELCA) congregations in south Puget Sound before attending St. Olaf College (ELCA) in Minnesota to earn a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance. Kevin now teaches piano lessons in the Seattle area and serves as Director of Music at Normandy Park United Church of Christ near SeaTac Airport. A long-time advocate for youth ministry, Kevin has been a church youth director, camp counselor, mission trip director and chaperone, and youth ministry volunteer since he was a teenager. He brings a wealth of experience in teaching and mentoring youth grounded in an active life of faith. Additionally, Kevin enjoys backpacking, flight instructing, serving on nonprofit and church boards, and solving crossword puzzles. He is excited to serve as Pod Guide for Project Phoenix, acting as a catalyst for your students to grow in their studies, faith, community, and themselves.
